Excellence:
Doing the best possible job for my clients, no matter what.
Excellence.
The first lesson I learned as an adult is that competence is not the norm. When developing my worldview on my own for the first time at 18 years old in professional environments, it became blatantly obvious that not everyone is even basically competent. And that competency is uncommon and even seen as admirable. In my opinion, that bar is extremely low.
When I first obtained a job in real estate, it became very obvious that competent real estate agents are just as rare. If you know me you have heard the second “ah ha” moment that made me decide to get my license(see Integrity for the first reason). I will spare you the details, but in summary, when I was an assistant, I had multiple conversations with real estate agents that had no business helping someone sell their most valuable asset. The epiphany was, “if [insert incompetent realtor’s name here] can do this, I SURELY can!” So from that moment on I was determined to work hard to help as many people as possible and do much more than just a competent job, but an excellent one.
Excellence is much more than just doing what is expected, but it is going above and beyond for your clients. So this value is important to me, not only just for the philosophy, but because if you are going to hire me as your agent, I had better do an excellent job. That means, I want to go the extra mile for my folks. If you look through this site, you’ll see that I don’t talk about the basic expectations of a realtor (professional photography, listing websites, social media advertising etc…) because if your agent isn’t doing that, they have not even met the standard for competence. But I want to strive for excellence, so those things are all given. Not only that, but if you ask any of my clients, they will tell you that the extra mile for most agents is my standard operating space. I always want to work hard and well for my people.
If you become my client, you are my people. And I fight for my people.
