Integrity:

Doing what is right for my clients, no matter what.

Integrity.

This is the most important value that I hold. I’d even argue that integrity is the most important attribute to have in Real Estate. If someone is working to help you purchase or sell your most valuable asset, then you should absolutely be able to trust what they say. When working as an assistant for my first year or so in residential purchase and sale, I interacted with Real Estate agents across East Tennessee, as well as across the country. The most frustrating thing that I noticed was that a large percentage of those agents are completely untrustworthy. I would never allow them to manage $5 for me much less my most valuable possession. This pushed me over the edge and made me decide to get my own license so that I could protect the people I care about from any agents that would take advantage of them.

It’s not just that though, integrity is the only right way to operate. I believe that we should say what we mean, and mean what we say. This is the only way to live a fulfilled life. Not only that, as a real estate agent, it is my obligation to be a fiduciary for my clients. Basically, do what’s in their best interests. An agent’s job is not simply to open a door, but it is to be your representative through a sometimes complex transaction. So you are trusting your real estate agent to represent you. That’s why it is so important to hire someone with integrity to work for you through the process of buying, selling, or investing in real estate.
